In the contemporary age online dating has become the main way to meet a partner. But many women are nervous, and rightly so, and are looking for a variety of creative ways to protect their minds and bodies during the date.
In 2019, about 5,400 women, in Tel Aviv alone, reported being assaulted or harassed by a man they met online.
To start understanding the big picture and the problem, I examined the big players in the market as well as parallel markets; GPS-based tracking apps, SOS alarms apps, dating apps, Background check systems and more.
To get users to enter a date, we will allow quick and easy import of the date's profile from the dating app.
To return the user to the app, we will allow performing merely a background check.
To convince the user to report date to the community, we will present her with a security stamp and note the fact that the information remains confidential in our hands.
To understand the pain points I interviewed 11 Tel Aviv singles who are looking for a partner online.
To adjust the supervision mode to the user's anxiety state, we will allow the definition of 3 different snooze modes.
To increase the user's sense of security, we will allow her to set a timer for her return home at the end of the date.
To encourage dating in public places, we will present the user with recommended places of entertainment near her home while entering the date data.
Minimize to eliminate the chance of getting hurt during a date. Added value- creating a sense of security within the user.
